The Undergraduate Government of Boston College (UGBC) is a student government created to enrich the lives of students attending Boston College. Its purpose is to work on behalf of students' interests and to help cultivate an engaged and caring student body. Furthermore, UGBC strives to promote the rights and responsibilities of students to the greater community, while encouraging academic, social, and spiritual growth. UGBC also serves as a resource and ally for various student groups on campus. It exists to underscore pressing issues on campus and to provide additional support for student concerns, and in doing so to better the BC community.
