JSDD's WAE Center (Wellness, Arts & Enrichment): An adult day program focused on adaptive arts, personal growth and community. Founded in 2004, the WAE Center is a holistic arts learning program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Dedicated to "Finding the Spark Within", the focus is on the personal growth of each member. We believe in meeting individuals where they are and supporting them as they identify and achieve their personal goals. Moreover, by embracing these humanistic principles, WAE guides members in building a greater capacity to live a full and rich life. The WAE Center is the arts and wellness arm of Jewish Service for the Developmentally Disabled, a partner agency of United Jewish Communities of Metrowest New Jersey. JSDD's WAE Center is non-sectarian and is open to all who wish to participate. The Center operates from a core belief that in an environment of unconditional acceptance, mutual respect and shared responsibility, members can explore opportunities for learning, spiritual growth, relationships and community participation. It is through the study of fine arts, performing arts, and a wide variety of self determined programming, that these goals are achieved.
