IT ALL STARTED WITH CAPRIS. Company ZAJO was established on 1 July 1996 by Juraj Králik temporarily housed in a garage. The idea was triggered by the lack of classic walking and hiking trousers known as “golfky” (capris) on the Slovak market. The pragmatic need of an individual “to be dry in the outdoors“ has brought the company to becoming the significant player on the market with outdoor clothing & equipment in Europe. WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY, BUT THERE IS A LONGER WAY TO GO As the years have passed, we extended from a single model of hiking trousers to a wide range of clothing for all outdoor and free-time activities. Our collection now includes hardware equipment like tents and rucksacks. The ever increasing collection reflects recent trends and needs of the domestic, as well as international market with growing application of high-end materials of renowned companies, such as Polartec (USA), Toray (Japan) and Carvico (Italy). Zippers, an important component of each product, are supplied exclusively by company YKK (Japan). QUALITY GUARANTEE Our designs of products and promotion materials have undergone changes, too. In 2007 we changed our logotype and the company was accredited to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. The quality of our products is evident through the involvement in various media projects (Celebrity Camp, Miss Universe 2008, providing clothes for the presenters of almost all television stations in Slovakia), as well as numerous sponsored expeditions to all corners of the world (Lipari, Himalayas, Tilichopeak and other). FROM BOTTOM TO TOP At present, ZAJO operates in more than 60 stores in Slovakia and more than 17 countries of the world. In the beginning, there was a single model of hiking trousers. Nowadays, the company offers more than 150 models of clothing and hardware.
