Pumpkins Foundation is a child-focused organization dedicated to the promotion of the general wellbeing of all children, especially the poor and needy ones. The Foundation helps children to reach their full potential, empowering them to be agents of change to help their own. Since its establishment in 2011, the Foundation has been implementing strategies and creating opportunities to address the health, education and basic needs of children through community-driven initiatives. The Pumpkins Foundation empowers children to work together in an effort to break and bridge the barriers of discrimination among them, rich or poor through child empowerment programs that focuses on forging a more compassionate network of all future generations, irrespective of their backgrounds. We organize experience sharing interventions between students from remote rural schools and those from relatively well-resourced urban backgrounds. One such exchange is the 2017 experience between the British and American International Schools and Tupaa M/A school. More of such events will be extended to other schools and communities across the country. We work with families, communities and statutory duty bearers to develop interventions aimed at improving the quality of life of all children.
