Members invest at their discretion, alongside Portage Partners investment professionals and our partners, in targeted exposures and idiosyncratic opportunities across private markets. Through an established network and shared intellectual capital - we harness the power of aligned interests in pursuit of compounding, preserving, and diversifying wealth together. Portage Partners was founded in 2010 by Michael Leffell, former Deputy Executive Managing Member of Davidson Kempner, as a family office with a focus on single investments and niche fund vehicles across private credit, real estate, private equity and venture capital. Portage Partners later expanded to include a group of founders and/or senior executives at large-scale alternative investment firms. In 2022, Portage Partners launched 10 East to selectively extend access to our ecosystem.
