It is an award-winning non-profit repertory company dedicated to providing relevant, top-quality children's entertainment, theatre arts workshops, and childrens books and audio and DVD's. The Shadow Box Theatre, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, is funded, in part, for the 2013-14 season, by A.R.T./New York; The Fund for the City of New York, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs; the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature; New York City Council Members Gale A. Brewer, Margaret Chin, and Letitia James; Materials for the Arts (NYC Dept. of Cultural Affairs/NYC Dept. of Sanitation/NYC Bd. of Ed.); The Doris & Peter Rosenblum Memorial Fund; and individual donors.
