Sudbury Gasworks was built in 1874 by George Devey, famed for his work on many country estates. The building is need of restoration, and this is what the Sudbury Gasworks Restoration Trust (SGRT) aims to do. The Trust is made up of local volunteers, who want the building to be a community hub for many years to come. Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, the project has already received initial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
