The Print Council of Australia is the peak national arts organisation for makers and lovers of prints and works-on-paper. In the last 50 years PCA has made a significant contribution to Australian cultural life through: 1. An annual national print commission of ten artists per year selected by premier Australian curators. 2. IMPRINT, a quarterly journal which publishes: i) new research on printmakers and artists working on paper (ii) research on innovations in printmaking and works-on-paper processes (iii) reviews of national and international exhibitions 3. Promoting professional opportunities for artists via IMPRINT, zine and social media sites 4. Curating national exhibitions of works-on-paper and touring them nationally and internationally PCA has maintained a complete archive of commissioned prints since 1966. Such is the significance, relevance and prestige of the archive, a set was acquired by the State Library Victoria in 2014.
