An exciting new resource for Rowan County, the Rowan IDEA Center is a center for innovation and entrepreneurship at the West End Plaza located in Salisbury, North Carolina. Intended for the residents of Rowan County, the IDEA Center will offer a wide array of resources to support the formation of new businesses and to stimulate the growth of existing small businesses. A Unique Public-Private-Academic Partnership The Rowan County Board of Commissioners, along with The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Corporation of Rowan County, have come together with private business and Catawba College, Livingstone College, and Rowan Cabarrus Community College to create the IDEA Center. The Goals: • Create a positive atmosphere for regional economic growth • Add new local jobs and help small businesses grow • Be proactive in reducing poverty and joblessness • Attract new talent to Rowan County • Enhance our quality of life
