The Advanced Technology Environmental Education Center (ATEEC) is a national center that promotes and supports environmental technology education to address the needs of the national and global workforce. ATEEC was established in 1994 as an NSF Advanced Technology Education (ATE) Center of Excellence to advance environmental and energy technology education through curriculum development, professional development, and program improvement in the nation's community colleges and secondary schools. ATEEC is supported and funded by the National Science Foundation and is a partnership of the Hazardous Materials Training and Research Institute, the National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education, and the University of Northern Iowa. ATEEC has also received funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. EICCD consists of three college campuses: Clinton Community College, Muscatine Community College, and Scott Community College. The District strives to provide accessible quality educational programs and services which anticipate and respond to personal and community needs and expectations. These efforts will reflect an active commitment to excellence, to lifelong learning and to cooperation with all segments of the community.
