WTS Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter
www.wtsinternational.orgThe Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of WTS was founded in 1989 and provides opportunities for networking, professional development, and leadership for women in all fields of transportation. We provide scholarships, share information about job opportunities, and network with industry leaders in the private and public sectors. We also foster the exchange of ideas among professionals and education in local, regional, state and national transportation issues in an effort to put our members on the forefront of industry change. Our membership has increased steadily through a variety of programs and professional development seminars, as well as through recognition of outstanding achievement through awards and scholarship programs. WTS stands for Women's Transportation Seminar, which was how it was named when founded in 1977 when women couldn't get subsidized for association memberships unless they were educational. But times have changed, and now joining an association is an opportunity women and men can take advantage of to work together and benefit each other in their careers. We are what we do, and WTS International does a great deal. To fulfill its mission of advancing both the transportation industry and the professional women who are a growing part of it, WTS gives its members all of the necessary tools: + Access + Programs + Networking + WTS Knowledge Lab + Mentoring + Annual Conference + International Membership Directory + Annual Awards + Career Center + Professional Development + WTS/Diane Woodend Jones Eno Foundation Fellowship + Scholarships
