Hertford Town Council provide a diverse range of services for residents in Hertford, Bengeo and Hertingfordbury village. These include responsibility for allotments at six sites, maintaining Hertford's cemetery and the closed churchyards, providing town centre CCTV cameras and the maintenance of the war memorial. The Council runs the Town & Tourist Information Centre in the town centre, and runs a programme of community events within Hertford Castle, its grounds and the town centre. The Castle is home to the Town Council, and a number of its historic rooms are available to hire for weddings, family celebrations and corporate bookings.
