STAR (Seattle Tamil Arts of Rhythm) is a Seattle-based non-profit organization with 501(c)3 Tamil traditional performance arts troupe. STAR's vision is to bring all the Tamil traditional performing arts to USA and to introduce them to the next generations. A dedicated organization to teach Tamil Culture and traditional arts in Northwest area to young adults and kids, which will touch their lives positively and they can take it forward the ancient Tamil culture and arts to our next generation. STAR community activities:- 1. STAR teaching following traditional arts (Parai, Silambam, Adimurai, Oyillattam, Karagattam) to 50+ kids and adults in the Seattle area. 2. STAR currently supporting 10 students for college education who are from traditional artist families in India, more students will be supported in the coming days. 3. Supporting silambam teacher families for living in India. 4. Supported 100+ traditional arts families in India during the Covid-19 pandemic. 5. Supported multiple schools and farmers after the Gaja cyclone impact in India. 6. STAR adopted community road Redmond WA for litter cleaning.
