Boomi Environmental is a progressive environmental consulting firm specializing in the development of sustainable, implementable, and cost-effective solutions to water and wastewater challenges faced by municipalities. The founding principle is to develop solutions that strive to preserve the environment for future generations – working locally with a global vision. The name “Boomi” originates from the Sanskrit word Bhūmi, which means Mother Earth. Boomi was established in April 2014 (and its predecessor firm in 2007) by principals with a collective experience of over 40 years in environmental and health assessments. Dr. Sri Rangarajan serves as President and Principal Consultant. Boomi has supported by full and part-time staff located in New York City, Hillsborough, NJ, and Bethlehem, PA.
