The Society: • promotes the awareness of chemical hazards and improvements in their identification and communication • provides a forum for sharing experiences, views and information on chemical hazards • promotes the need for specific training and aims toward the setting of competency standards • makes chemical hazards information available to members and other relevant bodies The Society has over 500 members. It provides a modular scheme of training for compilers of safety data sheets, delivers seminars on related topics, runs webinars and issues occasional newsletters.
