Summit Academy OIC (SAOIC) is a nonprofit Career and Technical Education training center that empowers adults and prepares youth residing in the most economically depressed neighborhoods in the Twin Cities to become educated, employed, contributing members of their community. Focused on high-demand, high-growth industries, Summit's results-oriented programs effect long-term change. Our graduates are skilled and motivated workers who can start taking care of their families, paying taxes and helping to stabilize and vitalize their communities. Our hands-on training programs include Information Technology, Construction (Electrical and Carpentry specialties), Medical Administrative Assistant, and GED for those who didn't complete their high school diploma. In just 20 weeks students can complete our programs and be on their way to an essential career with no out-of-pocket cost to them. Summit believes that the best social service program in the world is a living-wage job.
