I am an editor with 15 years of experience with rewriting, substantive/structural editing, stylistic editing, fact/citation/reference checking, and copy editing. I had a 15-year career in the library field, but my passion for the written word led me in the direction of editing and proofreading. My personal mission is to be a catalyst for positive change, and I feel that through the use of the written word I can make this mission a reality, not just for myself, but for others as well. I have a BA in Psychology and Liberal Studies from the University of Victoria at Malaspina University-College (now Vancouver Island University), a Library Technician Diploma from Langara College, and an Editing Certificate from Peninsula College.
