Mohammed V University known as UM5 was founded in 1957 by a royal decree. It is the first modern university in Morocco after the University of al-Qarawiyyin in Fez. The university is is a non-profit public university located in the capital of Morocco, Rabat. UM5 enrolls around 75,400 undergraduate and graduate students in different levels (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study).
