King Street Studios is centered in the new art district of Charleston. Our 1,500 sf studio is located in a 150-year-old building and exudes the character that can only come from a historic space. The exposed original elements, hard-wood floors, paired with contemporary accents and artistic flair, make you immediately feel relaxed and at home in this one-of-a kind photography studio. Todd Surber relocated to Charleston in 2006 after spending years in LA and traveling the world on assignment, photographing and touring with rock stars such as Papa Roach, Buckcherry, The Cult, and so many more. It was during this time he refined his talent for creating emotionally-dramatic images. Todd believes that event photography is about capturing the moment that forever leaves the viewer and the subject with the memory of the magic in that experience. He feels the images that come from these times will help people carry the memories with them so their feelings don’t have to fade.
