PackMap is a system designed to help people locate their nearest Bleed Control Kit (or Bleed Pack) which can be used to stop the blood outflow from a serious wound. What is a Bleed Pack? A Bleed Control Kit is a pack, or a wall mounted cabinet, that contains the right apparatus & equipment inside to handle a catastrophic bleed in any situation, such as a knife wound, bleeding from the head, a car accident and so on. These events can be extremely time critical to saving a life where every second really counts, and while waiting for emergency services to arrive, a trained FA user should be able to apply the BCK correctly. In an ideal world these situations would not arise and can be extremely sad, but we need to be realistic and accept that unfortunately they are needed. So we want to improve the process. Our aim is to get as many venues signed up with at least 1 Bleed Control Kit so people are never more than a minute or two away from saving a life. Who are PackMap? PackMap itself was developed by two people who are each involved in both the hospitality and technology industries and want to improve the process of incidents that sadly do happen. We're based in Liverpool but our aim is to work both locally and nationally on this project with partners across the country who want to utilise our technology to improve their own services.
