www.elmseed.orgThe Elmseed Enterprise Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit microcredit organization dedicated to creating small businesses in New Haven by providing start-up capital, technical assistance, and a network of peer support for local entrepreneurs. Founded in 2001, Elmseed is operated by Yale student volunteers, who work in cooperation with a professional Board of Directors. To date, Elmseed has disbursed loans totaling over $100,000 to entrepreneurs looking to start or expand small businesses in the New Haven area, and has trained and consulted with over 500 clients.
