The Don Bosco Youth Leadership Center (YLC) is a youth community center whose goal is to provide opportunities for positive growth and to offer a vibrant and varied program for all the community to enjoy! We operate with minimal funding, a sense of volunteerism and a spirit of friendship and kindness. The “Youth Leadership Centre” is a non-profit community centre for all ages focusing primarily on youth, teenagers and young adults. It has since expanded to families and the community and networks with other organizations. The aim of the centre is to improve the quality of life for young people in the community, to promote harmony and non-violence and to establish a place for youth to call their own. In the same occasion, we seek to create opportunities for positive thinking and change and promote opportunities for exploring their leadership abilities and qualities. The YLC has been structured to provide all necessary aspects (social, cultural, moral, educational and recreational) for the full development of young people today. The YLC reaches out to over 1000 youth, adults and families every year. All our programs and activities are supported by volunteers, stagiers and coordinated by only two full time staff. We work in collaboration with the City of Montreal and various branches of the provincial and federal governments.
