NL// De AUA is een gezamenlijk project van Urban Foxes en Brussels Academy (Brussels Studies Institute & VUB). Een stadslabo voor en door jongeren, een samenwerking tussen jong geweld en de academische en sociaal-culturele wereld, het middenveld en het beleid. De AUA is urbane doe-tank die op een non-formele en experimentele manier, jongeren dingen bijleert over stedelijke thema’s. Een structuur die hen stimuleert en omkadert zodat ze zelf positieve en creatieve acties kunnen ontwerpen en ondernemen in hun stad. De AUA streeft ernaar om jongeren te empoweren en hen een stem te geven in het stadsmaken. Kernwoorden zijn: Placemaking, Urbane Pedagogie, Experimenteel Jeugdwerk, Actief Burgerschap, Action Based Research in Placemaking. An an urban lab for and by young people, a collaboration between young violence and the academic and socio-cultural world, civil society and policy makers. AUA is an urban do-tank that teaches young people about urban themes in a non-formal and experimental way. It offers a framework that stimulates young people to design and undertake positive and creative actions in their city. The Academy strives to empower young people and give them a voice in the city making process.
