The Sustainable Australia Fund is Australia’s leading provider of Environmental Upgrade Finance. We provide up to 100% of the capital needed by businesses wanting to upgrade their energy infrastructure and unlock efficiencies and environmental outcomes. The City of Melbourne established the Sustainable Melbourne Fund in 2002 as a revolving loan fund to invest in delivering triple bottom line outcomes. The establishment of the SMF at the time demonstrated the City of Melbourne’s leadership in pursuing its eco-city vision. In 2019 SMF was recapitalised and scaled, supported by Bank Australia, to drive environmental upgrades at a national scale. As a result, the Sustainable Melbourne Fund was renamed the Sustainable Australia Fund.
