KReate Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation founded in May 2019 by D Kupendra Reddy. The Foundation aims to work towards a better Bengaluru by looking at problems holistically and building solutions that can create a larger impact on individuals, society, and the environment. The foundation has three broad focus areas: Water: Water is a key aspect of improving the liveability of a city. The foundation will work with experts, authorities, and NGOs to solve issues ranging from lake restoration and rejuvenation to groundwater recharge to water conservation and management in Bengaluru. Infrastructure: Building, maintaining, and upgrading healthcare, transport, power, housing, and waste management system are necessary to keep up the demands of rapid urbanisation and economic development. KReate will work for the holistic development of these infrastructure needs in Bengaluru. Climate: Cities contribute about 75% of global CO2 emission, with transport and buildings being the largest factors. It is essential to involve cities in the fight against climate change. KReate would work with stakeholders to bring renewable energy, green technology, and effective policies and regulations to urban settings.
