The Institute for High Voltage Equipment and Grids, Digitalization and Energy Economics (IAEW) is part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of RWTH Aachen University. In a team of more than 90 research associates, we address a wide range of research topics in the context of the ongoing energy transition. The spectrum of these research topics expands from the development of new insulating materials and electrical equipment across the modelling and simulation of cross-sector energy systems and markets towards IT security within critical infrastructures.
