Commissioned in 2004, SSI owns and operates India's leading OPITO approved Offshore Safety and Survival Training Institute in Mumbai. Our training equipment include a 16 seater Modular Egress Training Simulator (Model METS 30) imported from Survival Systems Canada, Fire Fighting Simulator, TEMPSC (Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft), Smoke Chamber, etc. The METS 30 simulator is modular in nature with configurable windows and exits of all helicopters deployed in the Indian offshore industry and is designed to simulate the most realistic helicopter crash and rescue scenarios. We constantly update and upgrade all exits to be in line with the latest helicopters being inducted by helicopter operators. Since its inception, SSI has provided safety training programs to over 33,000 offshore going personnel and 800 helicopter pilots over 420 companies across the oil & gas, marine, aviation, naval and industrial sectors. SSI has been bestowed recognition from the largest national oil company of India for its HSE contributions to the oil & gas industry and for directly helping hundreds of people survive a catastrophic accident.
