These are carpet and rug manufacturing looms with different speeds (PPM – picks per minute). NAM sells its products to other businesses mainly carpet manufacturers in Europe, Middle East and North America amongst others. NAM manufactures jute yarn of various grist/count ranging from 4 lbs to 60 lbs. It is able to customize the yarn starting from single ply to any number of ply according to the demand of the buyers. Furthermore, it offers a range of dyed, bleached, polished and PVA coated yarn as required by the client. In a nutshell, NAM produces high quality jute yarn having an extreme evenness and regularity in terms of thickness or diameter or weight per unit length. NAM has an installed production capacity of over 30,000 tons per year. All of its products are exported. NAM directly employs about 2000 people. NAM is also an ISO 9001: 2000 certified company as assessed by Orion Registrar Inc. USA. NAM practices the principles of “kaizen” (Japanese term for continuous improvement) and many of its employees have kaizen certification.
