Limix Srl
www.limix.itLIMIX Srl is a young and dynamic Italian startup founded in March 2015, with headquarters in Camerino, Marche. LIMIX was born with the strong desire to bring the research and expertise of the university into a new company to create innovative industrial projects. The first actors of this reality are two young students, Francesco Pezzuoli and Dario Corona, supported by their professors Fabio Giannoni, Letizia Corradini, Roberto Giambò, Simonetta Boria and by Eta Srl and EOS Spa, two italian companies. The idea of founding a new startup arose after the victory of "Talking Hands", presented by its inventor Francesco Pezzuoli, at Startup Weekend of Ascoli Piceno in October 2014. Talking Hands is a new product with a strong social impact: it is a completely wearable device, similar to a glove, that translates the LIS (Italian sign language). Using it, the deaf people will tear down the wall of incommunicability and be understood by everyone! Since then all the research team has been working hard to create a company which has the innovation as the basis for its projects. The first step was the foundation of LiMiX Srl, a spinoff of the University of Camerino. During his first year of life, LiMiX has focused on the development of Talking Hands, which has attracted the interest of numerous public and private entities and it won four important events: Business Plan Competition, StartCup Marche 2015, ECapital 2015 and Rome Prize at Maker Faire 2016. The funds obtained from these competitions helped the development of several prototypes, which are moving closer and closer to an industrial product.
