Cinqhole is a multi-disciplinary DIY arts space in the heart of Ottawa’s Hintonburg neighbourhood. Founded in collaboration between Ottawa Showbox and Black Squirrel Books & Espresso, Cinqhole follows the footsteps of its predecessors—Bruno and Sothea of General Assembly/Assemblée Générale—from whom we’ve learned and been inspired by. We’re grateful and honoured to carry on the tradition of running a DIY arts space in the interest of putting artists first before all else. As a registered not-for-profit, our mandate is to highlight, support, and elevate the arts in Ottawa. All income we make goes back into keeping Cinqhole sustainable, and allows us to keep any rentals or events we do affordable (or free!) for everyone.
