The mission of the University of East-West Medicine is to educate leaders and practitioners to improve human wellness through innovation, education, and the delivery of outstanding patient-centered care. UEWM has a dynamic mix of faculty members committed to educational excellence. Trained in China and in the United States, our experienced faculty members are well versed in the healing arts holding credentials in both TCM and Western medicine. Classes are taught in Chinese and English. Students learn Chinese Medicine Theory, Acupuncture, Herbology, Tuina Massage, Tai-Chi, essential clinic practice, as well as Western Medicine principles. Financial Aid is available for eligible students. Study full-time or part-time. Graduates of the Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine are eligible to sit for the California Acupuncture Board License Exam (CALE) and the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) Certification Exam to become a licensed practitioner.
