Bandy's Fire & Rescue is located in the heart of Catawba County, NC. We are located within the beautiful Catawba Valley just a short drive from Lake Norman, thirty minutes from Charlotte and an hour away from the high country. We have 3 Stations that serve a 55 square-mile area encompassing the towns of Maiden, Newton, Catawba, & Claremont. We have a vast array of apparatus' from Fire Engines to water Tankers to Squad vehicles to assist in extrication/rescue. We are a combination Paid/Volunteer agency. Members respond to any & all calls for service (emergency & non-emergency) from either of our 3 Fire Stations or their private homes in their personal vehicles. We provide fire and medical response to our citizens and to the citizens of the surrounding communities when called upon. We are constantly growing and striving to stay ahead of the changing times. Due to the outstanding dedication of our staff, our "live in" members and of course our volunteers we provide a quick strategic response to every incident we are called to. We have a Junior Firefighter program which allows youth of the community to actively participate around the station and continue to learn this trade as they grow into adults. Our department holds our members to the highest standard possible in the Fire Service & they wear the uniform with pride & dignity! Our district is the largest in Catawba County, thus making us one of the busiest volunteer agencies. Our department has come a long way since founded in 1962. As the community around us continues to grow, so we will. We are always there when you call for us.
