In March 2009, Dr. Sriram joined Sri Ramachandra Medical College in Chennai as Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology. The Department of Urology and Renal Transplantation of Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute is an ISO 9001:2000 certified department. This is one of the few Urology departments in the country that has this distinction. Since its inception in 1995, it has followed a path of continued growth in both clinical and academic Urology work, being one of the centres doing large volumes of live related and cadaver renal transplants in India. Dr. Sriram was promoted to Associate Professor in January 2010 and Additional Professor in June 2013 at SRMC before he assumed his current post of Professor in May 2015.
