The main industries are agricultural, fishing and manufacturing including cheese production and kelp harvesting, which contribute largely to the local economy. Two world class golf courses are driving the visitor economy and complementing some of the island’s other attractions such as recreational trails, bird-watching, fishing, surfing, arts and food events.
