The Arkkitehtuurimuseo / Museum of Finnish Architecture is one of Finland’s specialised national museums. Housing an extensive, internationally significant collection, the MFA makes a key contribution as a national and international expert in architectural research and presentation. Founded in 1956, it is the world’s second oldest museum of architecture. The MFA is in the frontlines of architectural expertise and urban culture as well as our built environment and heritage. Its mission is to build, share and foster knowledge related to architecture, i.e. to offer the public information through various channels and to cultivate new ideas, perspectives and insights. It aims to actively engage as an expert presence in the professional community and among members of the public interested in architecture in all towns and heritage environments throughout Finland.
