IEPEC - International Energy Program Evaluation Conference

www.iepec.org

IEPEC - Tuesday, January 18 - Friday, January 21, 2022, in San Diego, CA. Call for Abstracts Open Through October 31, 2018 The International Energy Program Evaluation Conference (IEPEC) is a biennial professional conference for energy program implementers, evaluators of those programs, local, state, national and international representatives, and academic researchers involved in evaluation. The purpose of this conference is to provide a forum for the presentation, as well as a critique and discussion of objective evaluations of energy programs. Our counterpart in Europe and Asia is called the International Energy Policy and Programme Evaluation Conference (IEPPEC). In 2016, the European conference was held in Amsterdam, in 2017 it was held in Thailand. In 2018 we will be in Vienna! The conference advances the goals of conserving natural resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by helping to overcome one of the key barriers to implementing energy efficiency programs– the lack of confidence in the reported results. The core product of this conference is the documentation of unbiased, peer-reviewed evaluations that establish the basis for accurate information and provide credible evidence of program success or failure. In addition, the conference presents information on current issues, market assessments, emerging technologies, and alternatives to traditional centralized supply-side options. The presentation, discussion, and publication of these analyses make important information publicly available. Conferences started in the U.S. in 1984, 1985, and were held every two years thereafter until 2010 when we added our European-based program and now in 2014. Each conference is organized by a Planning Committee of volunteer professionals, which is recruited and guided by a Board of Directors and assisted by a part-time conference coordinator. In conjunction with this 2017 Conference, the Planning Committee also offers educational workshops on relevant topics.
