The COVID-19 Testing Service Center (CTSC) was established to offer clients in vitro testing services related to the cause of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19); the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The goal of the service center is to streamline and expedite critical testing services for the fight against COVID-19 that would otherwise not be available to the public and research community. The CTSC is multidisciplinary, and brings together microbiology, virology, genomic, antimicrobial testing, and cell biology for the study of host pathogen interactions. In addition to performing a valuable service to public health, the CTSC provides crucial science education and research training, with undergraduate and graduate students playing key roles in the laboratory.
