Considered the oldest known carpet in the world, the Pazyryk carpet, discovered in the Altai Mountains in Siberia, showcased techniques indicating a long history of evolution and experience. This carpet had 36 symmetrical knots per inch², and each square frame was filled by x-shaped patterns. This craftsmanship and heritage is an inspiration in each of our unique, handmade area rugs. As we pay respect to this long line of tradition, we’re also driven to push the boundaries of textile design.
