The Department of Government Relations was established in 2014 under the guidance of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE and Ruler of Sharjah. The department plays a key role in coordinating with Sharjah’s international stakeholders and facilitating cross government initiatives in the Emirate. The Department of Government Relations works alongside the UAE Federal Government Ministries and global partners to develop relations internationally. The Department of Government Relations is responsible for the Twinning Cities Program that seeks to promote cultural and commercial ties with cities that share common values with Sharjah. Working closely with the government departments in the Emirate. The Department of Government Relations spearheads the initiative with our international partners.
