Mobtown Studios is a small team of folks providing artist-friendly recording, mixing and mastering services since 2006. We work in a variety of recording studios as well as our own production room where we take a hybrid analog-digital approach to gear and music-making. We’re proud to be an integral part of the Baltimore music scene and to work with artists from Maine to Spain to Ukraine. We pride ourselves on knowing our craft, tuning in to what the music needs, and just being nice, helpful people. Artists we’ve worked with include American Pleasure Club, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, The Baltimore Ravens, Ken Bethea (The Old 97s), Celebration, Dan Deacon, The Dismemberment Plan, Future Islands, Have Mercy, Ice Cube, Julia Brown, Little Hurricane, Mark degli Antoni (Soul Coughing/David Byrne), Morning Teleportation, Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire/Frank Ocean), Starlight Girls, Sun Club, Teen Suicide, Waka Flocka Flame, Dustin Wong, and Wye Oak. Our clients have released records on 4AD, ATO, Bar/None, Friends, Glacial Pace, Interscope, Joy Void, Merge, Tender Loving Empire, Thrill Jockey, Topshelf, Tzadik, Run For Cover, Universal Music, and Warner Bros. Records and have been featured on MTV, mtvU, Saturday Night Live, The Late Show, American Idol, The Voice, and The Colbert Report. We’ve also had the pleasure of creating original music or providing production services for 2k Games, Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, Connections Academy, ESPN, Flying Dog Brewery, Friends School Of Baltimore, Gatorade, HBO, Mathnasium, National Geographic, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and University of Maryland.
