Originating in 1985, Union Emergency Medical Services is a CAAS accredited service managed by Atrium Health, one of the largest and most progressive healthcare systems in the country. We are the primary 911 service provider for the nearly 300,00 citizens of Union County NC, averaging over 25,000 requests for service per year. Union EMS operates a dynamic deployment system, which involves strategic placement of our 911 resources throughout the entire county in aim to achieve optimal responses at all times to those in need of our emergency services. Additionally, we provide various levels of medical stand-by support for numerous types of scheduled events. We also provide non-emergency transport, medical standby at large events, Tactical Paramedics to Union County Sheriff’s Department SWAT, Community Paramedicine, and community education to schools and civic groups.
