Husband and wife team Stephen Holman and Josephine T. Huang run independent production company, (W)Holesome Products Inc. (W)PI provides a one-stop, work-for-hire service; designing, writing, directing and producing animated, live action, puppetry and mixed media projects as well as developing and producing their own specials and TV series. The LA Times has called their work: “a wildly inventive treat...some of the most wonderfully weird animation to hit the small screen in a long time.” In 2011, (W)PI created, wrote, directed and produced 10 episodes of “The Bite-Sized Adventures of Sam Sandwich” for Disney Junior. The stop-motion animated series will air in early 2012. In 2010, the company produced a state-of-the-art, stop-mo short for Japanese toy company Goodsmile, featuring their popular Black Rock Shooter anime character. Other TV projects Josephine has directed and co-created include 13 half-hour stop-mo episodes of “Phantom Investigators” for Kids' WB! and Sony Pictures Television (which scifi.com called, “an outstanding new entry for Kids' WB!...unique characters, strong storytelling and powerful visuals”), four seasons of the mixed-media series “Life with Loopy” for Nickelodeon’s “Kablam!”, “Dudley & Nestor Do Nothing” (for “Shorty McShorts’ Shorts”), as well as several specials and pilots for Fox Family, the Jim Henson Company, Nick Jr. and MTV. (W)PI’s independent animated short, "The Pigeon and the Onion Pie," has screened in festivals throughout the world.
