The Louisiana Marathon is a multi-format event including a Marathon, Half-Marathon, Ochsner Quarter Marathon, Ochsner 5K and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Kids Marathon. In the Inaugural year of 2012, The Louisiana Marathon hosted over 2800 runners from 46 states and 12 countries. In 2015, the event grew to over 8,200 runners and has hosted runners from all 50 states and 33 countries. The Louisiana Marathon was established to bring to Louisiana and capital city of Baton Rouge its first multi-format event weekend. On January 15-17, 2021, we will host our 10th Anniversary of The Louisiana Marathon. Friends, family and curious spectators will line up along the 26.2 miles of roadways filled with inspiring sights and sounds to cheer on the many that chose to run. The Louisiana Marathon course features a fast, flat, runner-friendly path through the lakes, along the river, around downtown, on the university campus and in historic neighborhoods. Our Finish Festival has become one the best post race parties on the planet with Louisiana music, food and beer garden. Louisiana craft brews complimented regional and International selections.
