New Horizon Child Development Centre (NHD) was established in India by Dr Samir Dalwai in 2003. It is a self-funded organisation with Interdisciplinary approach, measurable and outcome-based rehabilitation centre. Every child undergoes a scientifically planned, detailed evaluation & intervention which is documented. Presently it has 5 centres in Mumbai - at GOREGAON( East), GOREGAON (West), BHANDUP(West), KHAR(West) & DADAR. New Horizons Child Development Centre( NHD) provides developmental services under one roof. It consists of an interdisciplinary team headed by Developmental Pediatricians. In NHD, the child's parent & family are counselled every month as a part of the holistic program to maximize the impact on the child. Every child receives an end to end solution which is measurable & outcome based for his/her concerns the direct observation and care of a Developmental Pediatrician. In 2003, NHD started with one child, one developmental pediatriacian, one therapist and one room. An individual child is evaluated and a customized program is designed: Each evaluated child gets a strength and weakness report rather than only a diagnosis. Under NHDP - The New Horizons Developmental program - An individualized therapy / Education program for 6 months is developed. The same child is re-evaluated after 6 months of continuous & regular intervention( NHDP) to measure the development of skills as per the goals set and a fresh IT/EP is developed if needed.
