Dean, Sr., the company’s development history began with construction of the Downtown Industrial Park on Terrace & Mercier in KCMO. The complex was renamed Downtown Business Park in 2008. Dean Realty Co. owns Dean's Downtown Underground, the first subterranean development of its kind in America. Located directly beneath Downtown Business Park on 31st Street, the 1.2 million sf complex contains 804,000+ sf of leasable office and industrial space. Cambridge Business Park was developed in 1977, expanding over the next 15 years to five business centers and an office building. Master planning envisions retail, office, restaurants, hotel, residential and historic renovation of the Imperial Brewery.
