AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management & Education) is the supply chain’s most active and prominent organization focused on advancing women’s leadership. Involving senior executives in a wide range of supply chain roles, AWESOME brings together leaders for connecting, learning, collaboration, recognition, and inspiration. As the world is learning how to adjust and manage through the COVID-19 pandemic, AWESOME is also learning to adjust. While we have temporarily paused the signature in-person annual AWESOME Symposium in consideration of health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, we are excited to be presenting a line-up of virtual events on relevant and timely topics. They include Out-in-Front Talks, “Up-Close” Conversations, Transformative Leadership Panels, Awards Celebrations, Lightning Rounds, Cross-Industry Collaborations, Lead-and-Succeed Workshops, and Strategic Partnership Sessions. AWESOME recognizes outstanding women each year with the AWESOME Legendary Leadership (ALL) Award and will celebrate the 2020 honorees in a virtual ceremony. To improve opportunities for the next generation of supply chain leaders and to support and encourage young women who are pursuing a supply chain education, AWESOME awards Excellence in Education Scholarships that provide funding for Scholars to attend industry events and interact with senior leaders. AWESOME also collaborates with the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics on the Advancing Women through Education (AWE) Fellowship at MIT.
