Dr Simon Wade is founder of Webinars For GPs - the first medical GP membership site delivering weekly, interactive, online teaching webinars. CPD for GPs, from the comfort of your own home. Webinars for GPs was begun in 2012, with the sole aim of delivering valuable, yet convenient and cost effective, quality medical CPD to busy GPs whether partners, salaried, locums or other sessional doctors in Primary Care as well as their nursing colleagues. I was inspired to make interactive medical CPD easier for time stretched doctors and nurses, cutting out wasted time spent travelling to events. Instead, you get quality, live and interactive teaching from the comfort of your own home.. All webinars are recorded so you can come back and watch later if the live training time or date was inconvenient or if you want to go over something again. Since 2013 Simon and Webinars for GPs have organised and delivered online courses with guest speakers including Mindfulness (MBSR) 8 week courses with Dr Mike Scanlan, Mental Health and Well-being Consultant, and the Sleep Well course, again with Mike. Other courses delivered in 2019 include Motivational Interviewing course, and the Resilience for Doctors Online course both with Dr Chris Johnstone. We filmed and recorded, the Dementia Conference in 2014 at The RCGP, Euston Square, organised by the SWT faculty. The recordings were made available for the organised. We have expanded into 'done with you' and 'done for you' live web meetings and series, for various organisations including the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine of The Royal College of Physicians, East Midlands Clinical Network, Nene CCG, Recovery Republic (Practical Diploma in Primary Care Mental Health), Action for M.E., Heart Valve Voice, 'The Bower House' Counselling Service, Lamberts Healthcare and others, too many to list here.
