Shelter Technologies, Inc. (STI) is the manufacturer of unique, patent-pending, 100% polymer shelters that are rapidly deployable anywhere in the world, go up quickly and easily without the use of power tools and are safe, durable and environmentally affirmative. They will hold up in the harshest of environments and last longer than treated wood or canvas. These infinitely expandable modular buildings have captured the attention of the United Nations, the International Federation of Red Cross/Red Crescent (IFRC), the U. S. Dept. of Homeland Security, the U. S. Military and the governments of numerous countries. Since January 2005, STI’s founder, Dr. Victoria Lyons, has designed and refined the technology and researched the markets for emergency shelters, modular systems and ancillary products as well as domestic and foreign manufacturing and polymer supplies. Dr. Lyons’ first patent application was published 24 December 2009; the second was published 1 April 2010. STI is registered as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) with the US Government’s System for Awards Management (SAM), the US Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF) and the US State Dept. and is in the process of getting listed with the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule as well as registering as a Vendor to the UN, the IFRC, U. S. Dept. of Homeland Security and the European Commission on Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).
