Go Global | American School of English offers courses designed to help students make progress in the globalized world and gain confidence communicating globally - no matter what the situation. At Go Global our focus is on communicative language learning: learning by doing. We believe that active learners are the best learners and that learning should be both stimulating and enjoyable. Our approach is dynamic and student-centered, and we put particular emphasis on learner autonomy. We make sure students have lots of time for guided conversation on topics such as current issues, literature, popular culture and students’ own interests. We use the innovative, award-winning coursebook Global from Macmillan. Global, as the name suggests, teaches English as a world language, using authentic recordings of English speakers from across the globe: Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Canada. The reading texts, too, are authentic and include contemporary authors like Nick Hornby and Zadie Smith. This reliance on authentic language, among many other features, sets Global apart from other coursebooks.
