The Rotary Club of Derby has a fabulous track record of supporting local, national and international projects. Our friendly members meet socially each week (or when they can, there is no minimum requirement) and they plan and deliver service projects and fundraising events. We also have a smaller but very active Satellite group which meets once a month in the evening and is great for people with work or family commitments. We welcome anyone that subscribes to the idea of "Service Above Self" regardless of age, gender, political or religious beliefs. Some of our service projects include: Building Eco-greenhouses in schools A community allotment growing produce for local food banks Providing a Christmas party for local pensioners including entertainment Litter picks and supporting park events The renovation of Loudon Lodge, the former bowls pavilion on Arboretum Park Supporting a project collecting donated clothing for local asylum seekers Developing social media campaigns for local groups Delivering an evening of outdoor activities and games for a local TOC-H children's camp Health awareness events Some of our fundraisers have included: Race Nights Murder Mystery evenings performed by our Satellite members Quiz and Chips Nights FTSE Competitions Online and face-to-face events Santa and Sleigh, videos and letters from Santa
